WHY
CHARTER VOICE?
CharterVoice
supports a “big tent.”
CharterVoice advocates on behalf of a diverse
range of charter schools and the students they
serve and does not support advocacy efforts that
seek to limit the charter school movement to only
specific types of charter schools.
CharterVoice
is grassroots.
CharterVoice is quickly becoming one of the premier
charter school advocacy organizations in the state.
We already represent thousands of California charter
school students, parents, teachers, administrators,
developers, authorizers, and other leading charter
school constituents across the state. CharterVoice
is truly a grassroots-driven organization –
created by charter school constituents whose members
help develop and drive the policy agenda.
CharterVoice
supports multiple measures of accountability.
CharterVoice believes school quality should be
assessed through multiple measures (not just test
scores/the API).
CharterVoice
is fiscally and politically independent.
CharterVoice believes it is important
to the integrity and sustainability of our organization
to draw our funding from a broad range of sources
and never become too dependent on any single funding
source. Similarly, we work with a range of policy
partners to implement our members’ legislative
agenda and do not bend to the will of any political
group that seeks to impede our goal of serving
California’s diverse charter school students.
CharterVoice
partners with experts.
CharterVoice works in close collaboration with
the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC),
California’s most expert and experienced
charter school technical assistance organization,
in order to provide high quality technical training
and support so charter leaders can more effectively
run their schools
