Membership Categories and Special Discounts:

CharterVoice has two main membership categories: Gold Membership and Friends and Family Membership.

Purchase "CharterVoice: Freedom of Choice" bracelets to help support CharterVoice and their advocacy efforts! Buy them for you and your family, or utilize them as an excellent fundraising opportunity for your charter school! Click here for ordering information.

GOLD MEMBERSHIP:

  • Charter Schools:
    • Regular - $3 per student
    • CSDC discount* - $2 per student

Please note: Charter Schools may also gain full membership through family membership drives. Please call us at 916-278-4476 for details.

  • Charter Granting-Agencies:
    • Regular - $500 for 1st charter school, plus $100 per additional school ($3,000 maximum)
    • CSDC discount* - $375 for 1st charter school, plus $75 per additional school ($3,000 maximum)
  • Charter School Developers:
    • Regular - $100
    • CSDC discount* - $75

GOLD MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS:

  1. Expert advocacy and lobbying on fiscal and legislative issues on behalf of all charter schools and charter authorizers, including:
    • Monitoring all bills impacting charter schools
    • Developing legislative agenda and drafting helpful legislation
    • Attending and testifying at legislative hearings
    • Lobbying legislators and their staff
    • Monitoring, attending and testifying at State Board and ACCS meetings
    • Acting as federal liaison to national charter school advocacy groups
    • Building partnerships with key legislators and interest groups
  2. Direct input into CharterVoice's legislative agenda
  3. Eligibility to participate in or elect members to CharterVoice’s board, membership council, and regional representatives.
  4. Email updates on key policy issues.
  5. Significant discounts to the annual Charter School Leadership Summit.
  6. Media and public relations initiatives to continue building awareness and a positive image of charter schools among the general public and legislature.
  7. Regional networks that offer best practice sharing, peer mentoring, and networking.
